Trend Watch

The parcel industry is changing rapidly and is being impacted by globalization, technology disruption, eCommerce, government regulation, workforce challenges, fuel, packaging and freight audit challenges, lack of competition on the carrier side and in the near future, vendor/distribution side. With transportation being key to delivering your products to an ever-more demanding customer—whether B2B or B2C—understanding what is possible, what is probable and what is predictable is vital to withstanding the competitive pressures now and into the future. By understanding the business of the carriers—their investments, changes in infrastructure, new services being developed—along with an understanding of changing regulations that govern the carriers, will help you make decisions now that will take you into the future.  If you are focused on the day-to-day operations, it is difficult to find time to look into the future—what is possible.  Upon leaving this session, you will clearly know what is happening, what is being talked about and what the future holds—our best predictions!
