Brent actively practices at and is currently the CEO of Primus Law Office, P.A. and the CEO of transportlawtexts, inc. He received his Juris Doctorate in 1973 from the University of Minnesota Law School. Since 2007 Brent has authored Parcel Magazine’s column “Parcel Counsel.” He has also authored or edited major transportation works including:
Brent represented the shipper before the Interstate Commerce Commission and the Court of Appeals in the leading decision of United Shipping v. General Mills which set the stage for transportation contracting in a de-regulated environment. Brent represented the plaintiffs in AVR, Inc., et al v. Churchill Truck Lines, Inc., et al. which was a class action lawsuit that resulted in the refund of $1.4 million dollars of freight over-charges for Churchill’s shipper and broker customers. Brent’s success in the Churchill case led him to receive the Transportation Lawyer of the Year Award presented by the Transportation and Logistics Council.
